FAQ
Veloxa Build questions
Pricing questions, such as how AI usage is counted, are answered on the pricing page.
Getting started
- Is Veloxa Build free to try?
- Yes. The Free plan costs $0 and includes $1 of AI usage a month (up to $0.25 a day), 1 published site and 1 member. Pro is $25 a month for the whole organization.
- What do I need to start building?
- A VeloxaHost account and a web browser. Go to build.veloxahost.com, sign in with the same login you use for the console, and type what you want to build. There is nothing to install and no code to write.
- Will it ask me questions before it builds?
- Sometimes. When a request is too vague to build well, the AI asks a couple of short questions first, each with a few options to pick from. You can answer, type your own reply or skip, and it carries on with sensible defaults.
- Can I give it my logo, photos or menu?
- Yes. Attach files to a message (up to 50 at a time): images, PDFs, text and data files. They are saved in your project's assets folder, and the AI uses them where you ask. It can look at an image or read a PDF when it needs to.
Building and editing
- How do I change one specific part of the page?
- Turn on click-to-edit in the preview toolbar, click the element you mean (a heading, a button, a photo), then describe the change in the message box. The AI gets the exact element you picked, so you don't have to describe where it is.
- What if a change makes things worse?
- Open version history and restore an earlier version. A version is saved automatically after every AI message that changes your files, the most recent 30 are kept per project, and restoring is reversible: you can switch back to any other version afterwards.
- Does it check its own work?
- After each change, the builder reloads the live preview and checks that the app actually runs. If the preview reports an error, the AI is told about it and works on a fix before it finishes. Those fixes use AI usage like any other message.
- Can more than one person work on our projects?
- On paid plans, yes: everyone in your VeloxaHost organization can build and shares the plan's AI usage, with no seat fees. The Free plan is for 1 person.
Publishing
- Can I show someone my site before I publish it?
- Yes. Every project has a draft link that follows your work as you build. Share it from the preview toolbar to get feedback without publishing anything.
- Can I change my site's address after publishing?
- Yes. Choose "Change address" in the Publish panel and pick a new name on veloxa.site. The new address is created first, then the old one is removed, so links to the old address stop working.
- Do my edits go live straight away?
- No. Edits stay in your draft until you choose "Publish changes". The Publish panel shows when the live site is behind your draft and when it was last published.
- Can I use my own domain name?
- Not yet. Custom domains with HTTPS are coming soon on paid plans (1 on Starter, 5 on Pro, 20 on Team); the Free plan will not include them. Until then, sites are published at an address like yourname.veloxa.site.
- Will search engines find my site?
- A published site is a public web page on an HTTPS address, so search engines can find it like any other. Ask the AI to set each page's title and description, and to write headings and text that use the words your customers search for.
- Is there a Veloxa Build badge on my site?
- On the Free plan, yes: a small, dismissible "Made with Veloxa Build" pill in the corner. Paid plans can remove it.
- How many sites can I publish?
- It depends on the plan: Free: 1, Starter (coming soon): 5, Pro: 25, Team (coming soon): 100. Hosting with HTTPS is included on every plan, and published sites stay online when your AI usage runs out.
Your files and your account
- Can I download my site's code?
- Yes, on every plan. The download button in the preview toolbar saves the project as a zip of plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript files. Version history is not part of the download; you get the current version.
- Will a downloaded site work somewhere else?
- Pages, styles and scripts run on any static host. Forms, user sign-in, file storage and stored data need Veloxa Build hosting and do not work in an exported copy, so check those parts before you move an app that relies on them.
- What happens when I delete a project?
- Its files, version history and conversation are deleted, and its draft and published site are taken down, so the public address stops working. Download the project first if you might want it back.
- How do I stop paying for Pro?
- Pro is the Veloxa Build add-on. An owner or admin switches it off in the VeloxaHost console under Settings → Add-ons, at any time. Your organization keeps the plan until the end of the month it has paid for.
