How it works

Veloxa Build: How the AI website builder works, from prompt to live site

Veloxa Build is an AI website and app builder that runs in your browser. You describe what you want, the AI builds it in a live preview, you refine it by chatting or by clicking, and you publish it to a public address when you are happy with it.

Step by step

From an idea to a published site

Everything happens in the browser, with nothing to install and no code to write.

  1. Step 1: Sign in with your VeloxaHost account

Open build.veloxahost.com and sign in with the same login you use for the VeloxaHost console. If you are already signed in to the console, you go straight in. The Free plan also needs a verified email address and an organization you own; signing up gives you one.

  2. Step 2: Describe what you want

Type what you want in plain language: the kind of site, its sections, the tone and the colours. Attach your logo, photos, a menu or a document and they are saved in the project for the AI to use. If the request is vague, it asks a couple of short questions first, each with options to pick or skip.

  3. Step 3: Watch it build in the live preview

A plain-language checklist shows what the AI is working on while the site appears in the preview. After every change it reloads the preview and checks that the page actually runs; if it finds an error, it works on a fix before it finishes.

  4. Step 4: Chat to change it

Keep the conversation going: "make the header darker", "add a pricing section", "rewrite the intro for parents". After each change the builder suggests a few next steps you can send with one click.

  5. Step 5: Click to edit in the preview

Turn on click-to-edit in the preview toolbar, click any element on the page, and describe what should change. The AI gets the exact element you picked, so you don't need to explain where it is.

  6. Step 6: Go back with version history

Every AI message that changes your files saves a version. Open version history to look back and restore an earlier one; restoring is reversible, and the most recent 30 versions are kept per project.

  7. Step 7: Share a draft

Each project has a draft link that follows your work as you build. Send it to a colleague or a client for feedback before you publish. Anyone with the link can open it.

  8. Step 8: Publish to yourname.veloxa.site

Pick an address on veloxa.site and publish in one click, with HTTPS included. New edits stay in your draft until you choose "Publish changes", and you can change the address later.

  9. Step 9: Connect your own domain (coming soon)

Custom domains with HTTPS are coming soon on paid plans (Starter, Pro, Team). Until then, every site is published on veloxa.site.

  10. Step 10: Take it further on VeloxaHost

Download your project as plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript on any plan; forms, sign-in and stored data keep working only on Veloxa Build hosting. When an app outgrows the builder, run it on VeloxaHost hosting or on a VPS from $5/month, billed to the same VeloxaHost account as your builder plan.

Beyond pages

What the apps you build come with

It builds web apps as well as websites, and the backend they need is built in.

  • Built-in sign-in

Apps it generates can let their own visitors sign in, with no auth service to wire up.

  • Storage and a database

File storage for uploads and images, and a key-value database that keeps each signed-in user's data between visits.

  • AI inside your app

AI features in the apps you build work while you build and test them. AI for the visitors of a published app is not available yet.

  • Installable on phones

Each app gets an icon and a web app manifest, so visitors can add it to their home screen or desktop.
