Pick Veloxa Build if

  • You would rather describe what you want than place elements by hand.
  • You want to download your site's code and be able to host it anywhere.
  • You run several sites: Pro covers 25 published sites, where a Wix plan covers one.
  • You are building a small web app, with user sign-in and stored data, rather than a brochure site.

Pick Wix if

  • You want to design every page by hand in a visual editor.
  • You want an online store: Wix has eCommerce from Core, and Veloxa Build has no payments integration.
  • You need a custom domain today, or want a free domain for the first year.
  • You want to start from one of Wix's templates and grow the site inside one platform, with its CMS and eCommerce.
Switching

Switching from Wix

Wix says its sites cannot be exported, so switching means rebuilding your site in Veloxa Build, using the Wix site as the reference.

How to move

  1. Collect what you want to keep from the Wix site: page text, images, your logo, and screenshots of pages whose layout you like.
  2. Start a project in Veloxa Build, attach those files to your first message and describe the site. The AI can look at the images and screenshots you attach and read text files and PDFs.
  3. Refine it by chatting, or by clicking an element in the live preview and saying what should change.
  4. Publish to an address like yourname.veloxa.site, and keep the Wix site live until you are ready to move.

What does not carry over

  • Nothing moves automatically: there is no Wix importer, and Wix has no export to import from.
  • Wix CMS collections and Wix eCommerce do not move over, and there is no payments integration here.
  • Custom domains in Veloxa Build are coming soon, so leave your domain on the Wix site until they ship.

Can I use my own domain?
