What the Restaurant template contains

Elegant dark restaurant site with chef's specials, a tabbed menu, hours and a table request form.

  • Hero

    A three-line headline over a dark background, a sentence about the kitchen, and buttons to request a table or view the menu.

  • Chef's specials

    Three cards, each with a tag (such as Tonight or Weekend), a dish, its description and a price, under a short note about where the ingredients come from.

  • Menu in tabs

    Four courses (antipasti, pasta, from the fire, desserts) as tabs you can move through with the keyboard, each dish with a price and V or GF marks. Without JavaScript the courses simply show one after another.

  • Location and hours

    Address, phone, opening hours by day, and a line about private dining.

  • Table request form

    Name, phone, email, date (no past dates), a time from a list of evening slots, guests from one to eight, an optional occasion and a field for requests. Larger parties are asked to call.

Where table requests go

Each request from the published site lands in your Inbox in the builder, with an email for each if you turn that on, and exports as CSV. It is a request, not a booking: the form says the table is confirmed once you reply, and nothing checks availability.

From template to live site

What happens when you start

  1. Step 1: Open it as your own project

    “Start from this template” opens Veloxa Build at build.veloxahost.com. Sign in with your VeloxaHost account if you are not already, and the Restaurant files are copied into a new project of yours. Copying the template uses no AI.

  2. Step 2: Change it by chatting

    Type what to change, or click an element in the live preview and say what you want. Each change uses AI usage from your plan; the Free plan includes $1 a month.

  3. Step 3: Go back to the original

    The untouched template is saved as the project's first version, so you can restore it from the history whenever a change goes the wrong way.

  4. Step 4: Publish when it is yours

    Publish puts the site on an address like yourname.veloxa.site, with HTTPS. Custom domains are coming soon. Until you publish, the project is a private draft.

FAQ

Restaurant template questions

Does the form check which tables are free?
No. There is no booking calendar behind it. Each request reaches your Inbox and you confirm it by email or phone, which is what the form tells guests.
How do I update the specials each week?
Open the project and tell the AI the new dishes and prices (“update this week's chef's specials: …”), check the preview, then publish the change. The live site keeps showing the old specials until you do.
Can I change the time slots and party sizes?
Yes. They are plain lists in the form. Ask for the times you serve and the largest party you take online, and the AI edits the lists.
Is the menu readable by search engines?
Yes. Every dish is text in the page, not an image or a PDF, and all four courses are in the HTML even though only one tab shows at a time.
