What Is an AI Website Builder?

An AI website builder makes a website or web app from a description you write in plain language. You say what you want, such as a portfolio, a landing page for a bakery or a simple booking tool, and the AI writes the pages and code. You change the result by asking for changes, not by editing code.

How it works

You type a prompt describing the site: who it is for, the pages, the style, the content you have. The builder sends it to an AI model, which writes the site, and shows you a live preview. You keep chatting to change it ("make the header darker", "add a contact form"), and each change makes a new version. When you are happy, you publish it to a public address.

The AI does the writing; you still decide what goes on the site. Check the facts, prices and contact details it fills in before you publish.

When to use it

• A first website for a small business, a portfolio or an event, built in an afternoon without code.
• Landing pages and prototypes you want to test quickly.
• Simple web apps, such as a form, a calculator or a small internal tool.
