A published gallery can be opened by anyone with its address, so share proofing links only with the client. Can a proofing gallery be private?
Not yet. A published page is public to anyone with the link, and password protection is not available. Share the link only with the client, and unpublish it once they have chosen.
Will it match my style, or look generated?
You describe the design rather than picking a theme, so it follows your direction: the mood, the type, the spacing, the sites you admire. Then refine by clicking elements in the preview. Each round takes minutes, so keep going until it looks like your work.
Can clients book a date and pay a deposit?
They can send an enquiry for a date, which you confirm. There are no payments, so take the deposit through the invoicing or payment service you already use.
Who owns the photos and the site?
You do. Your photos are files in your project, and the whole site downloads as plain files from the preview toolbar on every plan, ready to host somewhere else if you ever move.
